General Contractor for Multi-Trade Projects

When a project spans several trades at once, someone has to own the whole thing. Advanced Remodeling WA carries Washington contractor registration ADVANRL813RC with a GENERAL classification - one contract, one schedule, one point of accountability.

In short

General contracting is how we run projects that cross trades - a kitchen that also involves flooring and new windows, or a whole-home scope touching siding, drywall, and paint. Advanced Remodeling WA has been contracting in Washington since 1998, is registered as ADVANRL813RC under a GENERAL classification, bonded, and carries $2,000,000 in general liability. You get one written line-item estimate, one build schedule, and one contact from demo through final walkthrough.

What general contracting covers on your project

A single-trade job only needs the trade. A project that combines several - say a kitchen remodel with new flooring through the main floor, replacement windows, and siding repair on the way out - needs someone holding the sequence together. That is the general contractor's role, and it is the work this page is about.

We hold the contract for the entire scope, so there is no gap between trades where a question falls through. Rough-in happens before drywall, tile substrate is right before the tile goes down, and finish flooring lands after the wet trades are done, not before.

Scope and written estimate

A free onsite walkthrough of the whole project, then one written line-item estimate covering every trade - labor, materials, permits, disposal.

Schedule and permits

Permits pulled where the scope requires them, then a build schedule that sequences demo, structural, rough-in, inspection, and finish in the right order.

Trade coordination

Our own carpentry crews plus vetted licensed trade partners for plumbing and electrical, all called in on our schedule rather than yours.

Inspection and closeout

Work checked at each stage, punch list walked with you, and our workmanship warranty on the installations we complete.

  • One written, line-item estimate for the full scope
  • One build schedule across every trade
  • Permits pulled where the scope requires them
  • Licensed trade partners for plumbing and electrical
  • Fixed price locked in a signed contract
  • Workmanship warranty on installations we complete

The trades we coordinate on a general contracting project

Each of these has its own page with scope detail and pricing context. On a general contracting project they are not separate jobs - they are stages of one schedule, priced together and sequenced so the work only happens once.

General contractor FAQs

What does a general contractor actually do on a remodel?

A general contractor holds the contract for the whole project, builds the schedule, pulls the permits, sequences each trade in the right order, inspects the work, and stays the single point of contact from demo through final walkthrough. On a multi-trade project that coordination is most of the job.

Is Advanced Remodeling a licensed general contractor in Washington?

Yes. Advanced Remodeling LLC holds Washington contractor registration ADVANRL813RC with a GENERAL classification, and is bonded and carries $2,000,000 in general liability. You can verify the registration directly on the Washington L&I portal.

When does a project need a general contractor instead of a single trade?

When the work crosses trades. A kitchen that also involves flooring, electrical, and new windows has to be sequenced so nothing gets installed twice. One contract and one schedule keeps the trades from tripping over each other and keeps responsibility in one place.

Do you self-perform every trade?

We self-perform the carpentry and finish scope and coordinate vetted licensed trade partners for plumbing and electrical. Either way the contract, the schedule, and the accountability sit with us.

How is a multi-trade project priced?

In writing, line item, before work starts - labor, materials, permits, and disposal broken out, then locked as a fixed price in a signed contract. The onsite consultation is free. In-house design and pre-construction starts at $999+ depending on scope and is credited on signed builds.

How long has the company been contracting in Washington?

Since 1998. Advanced Remodeling WA is second-generation family owned, based in Mountlake Terrace, WA, with 65+ years of combined experience across the team.

"JJ, Dominick, Erik, Jayson, Marco and the entire crew at Advanced did an amazing job with our basement, bath, laundry room remodel after a basement flooding issue. Would hire them again and recommend them highly."

"We chose Dominic and his crew to help rebuild our kitchen after a water leak. Dominic is knowledgeable, highly communicative, and patient/willing to answer lots of questions. The bid he provided was clear and competitive and he made sure to have an independent auditor review it to support our insurance claim. His team did a great job rebuilding and refinishing our hardwood floors, repairing drywall, and reinstalling our cabinets/dishwasher. Overall communication with the workers was good and the one time that there were some challenges, Dominic jumped on the issue right away and met with the team to make sure something similar wouldn't happen in the future. They will be the first number I call next time I need a general contractor."

"As an owner of a real estate team myself, we love working with and referring Dominic and his team over at Advanced Remodeling. A few things we have found rather frustrating when referring contractors in the past is their quality of work, consistency, professionalism and pricing. Advanced Remodeling has hit it out of the park for us every time. Our clients usually have a wide range of needs and strict timelines when prepping a home for sale or negotiating inspection items, and we have had nothing but positive feedback from our clients when working with Dominic and his team. The product they put out is also top notch! Thanks guys!"

"I’m really glad I chose to work with Dominik and his team! I had unstable tiles on the back wall of my shower from a poor previous installation. I came in with a lot of concerns (and a budget), and Dominik genuinely listened and worked with me instead of pushing a full remodel. What stood out to me: - Dominik created a thoughtful 3-step quote that gave me options instead of pushing a one-size-fits-all solution, which no other contractor offered - Erik handled most of the work and was clear, responsive, and easy to communicate with - He was able to save and reuse many of my original tiles, which meant a lot to me since they’re no longer sold and I really didn’t want mismatched tiles - Erik even helped install my bathroom window screen, totally above and beyond! And something I didn’t expect at all... They had someone come in to clean not just the shower, but my entire bathroom. It was spotless. Overall, the whole process felt smooth and really well thought out. You can tell they care about both the quality of their work and their clients. Would definitely recommend Advanced Remodeling LLC :)"

"We couldn’t be happier with the work these guys did for us! They created a truly life-like playhouse for our girls, and the final design was even better than the inspiration photos we shared. The attention to detail was incredible, and you can tell a lot of care went into every part of the build. The crew was extremely nice, professional, and respectful of our space throughout the entire process. Highly recommend them!"

"We are so glad that we chose to work with the team at Advanced Remodeling for our recent remodel of two bathrooms and a laundry room. There are so many positives to highlight: - They listened to our ideas and hopes while bringing their own thoughts based on their experience. They were then able to translate that into outcomes that were even better than we could have hoped! - They were great problem-solvers and were fair and honest in their advice; we never felt taken advantage of and appreciated their advice. - They honored the budget we established and did amazing work within that. No corners were cut and the work is of the highest quality. - Our remodel was a little tricky, with us wanting to find a way to utilize the space under our stairs more effectively. They did the most incredible job bringing that to life. We now have a great space (with lighting!) to store things. - Their communication was great, with questions answered in a most timely fashion and a willingness to talk through plans and ideas. The couple of small glitches along the way were rectified immediately. Finally, they were just great, friendly guys to work with. Erik, our site manager, is hardworking, thoughtful, and willing to do what it takes to make the customer happy. Everyone we worked with was very talented and a good human to boot. We would absolutely work with them again!"
